Event in Orange, Va. will allow first responders to practice numerous accident scenarios, benefits Fisher House Foundation
RICHMOND, VA (October 1, 2020) — This Saturday, October 3, the National Auto Body Council is holding an extrication event for first responders from 2-6 p.m. at the Pro Collision Center located at 12403 James Madison Highway in Orange.
Elephant Insurance donated several salvage vehicles being used for the event, which allow first responders to practice numerous accident scenarios and learn the best way to safely open a vehicle after a crash.
“We’re appreciative of Pro Collision and The National Auto Body Council for making this event happen, as well as the other partners and instructors who donated time and vehicles,” said Kris Grier, Pricing Analyst at Elephant Insurance and liaison for the extrication event. “At Elephant, one of the values we hold dear is protecting The Herd. We know that once a serious collision occurs, every moment counts for the passengers in the vehicle. Our hope is that by donating a few vehicles today for first responders to learn and practice on, they will gain valuable seconds when responding to an accident.”
The extrication event is a part of a fundraiser for the Fisher House Foundation a unique private-public partnership supporting America’s military in their time of need. The Fisher House program has provided over 10 million nights of lodging offered to more than 400,000 families saving them over $500,000,000*. The event is sponsored by the Pro Collision Center in collaboration with Cruisin’ for Heroes.
