Good student car insurance discount
Elephant offers a student car insurance discount for unmarried, full-time students under the age of 25 with a GPA of 3.0 or a B average, or better. A position on the Dean’s List, Honor Roll, or a ranking in the upper 20% of a national standardized test in the last year, such as the SAT or ACT, may also be accepted to qualify for this discount. Student-away-at-school discount
If a qualifying student 22 years old or younger is living at school without regular access to a covered vehicle and the school is located more than 100 miles from the insured’s address, we offer a car insurance discount because the student will be driving less frequently. Do auto insurance companies ever verify grades for good student discounts?
Many insurance companies require some proof of qualifying grades to maintain a good student discount. At Elephant, we supply a form for the student’s school to sign and return within 21 days of the start of the policy. Report cards and official/unofficial transcripts of the immediately preceding school term may also be acceptable proof to qualify for this discount.
