I get into a fender bender. How does this coverage help?Comprehensive & Collision
Comprehensive coverage, sometimes called “other than collision,” can cover you if your vehicle sustains a loss as the result of an act of nature or an unexpected event such as fire, theft, hail, or contact with an animal. Collision coverage can cover you if your vehicle sustains a loss as the result of an impact with another vehicle or object as well as accidental upset (rolling, flipping, etc). Keep in mind that your deductibles will apply.
A tree falls on my car, how does this coverage help?Rental
Rental reimbursement can provide you with a loaner vehicle while your car is in the shop due to a covered comprehensive or collision claim.
My car's in the shop and I can't drive to work, how does this coverage help?Roadside
If purchased, Roadside Assistance is available for use when your vehicle becomes disabled due to a covered emergency.
If I get a flat tire on the highway, how does this coverage help?PIP or MedPay
Personal Injury Protection and Medical Payments are first-party coverages that pay for reasonable and necessary medical expenses and funeral services resulting from a motor vehicle accident regardless of fault.
If I receive medical care doe to an accident, how does this coverage help?Uninsured Motorists
Uninsured motorist (UM) and Under Insured Motorist (UIM) are first-party coverages, meaning that the payout is for the insured drivers on the policy, NOT for the other driver. This coverage comes in to play when the other party: (a) doesn’t have the insurance (b) doesn’t have enough insurance to cover the damage they caused (c) isn’t present or has committed a hit and run.
